International stocks were mixed Friday, as investors weighed early indications of the coronavirus’s effects on the U.S. labor market, and prospects for a sustained recovery in oil prices.

Stock benchmarks in Tokyo and South Korea traded flat, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 fell 1.7%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and the Shanghai Composite Index inched less than 1% lower. S&P 500 futures fell 1%, suggesting U.S. markets could open lower later in the day.
